11 Dec Dinner...

We met at 7pm for most of us who made it to the party. We waited, enthusiastically chit chating and catching up with old frds. There were abt 9 of us. 25 of us signed up to attend the dinner. Pam asked me earlier if she should book more as Rice Table will be crowded on a Sunday nite. I said, it should be fine.

It was 8pm and no one turned up. We decided to call to ask the rest if they are coming. We called and started crossing out our list: "Oh dear, I forgot abt it", "I din get a comfirmation it is on", "toot toot (engaged tone)" etc. Our hearts drop when we realised that most couldn't make it. We picked ourselves up and decided that its a good start anyway to have a more close knit discussion. We caught up and talked abt politics, the yummy great food (its unbelievable), some of the sbgs that are going on, our lives in general, the bird flu?, etc.

It was great just catching up and remembering old friends... and great food.

For those who missed it, pls dun feel bad. We know such things happen and i understand some were involved in IAG coaching. There will be a next time and make sure you come the next time.
